Clare is an experienced private chef and event manager. She has worked for corporates, private households and ski chalets. She has managed events for charity and a Michelin starred restaurant and European Commission conferences in Cyprus, The Baltics and Germany. Her fiance, and adviser, is a professional yacht manager and surveyor who has competed in the Whitbread Round the World Race, and multiple offshore races including the Middle Sea, Sydney Hobart and Fastnet. He completed the North West passage on the first production yacht to successfully make the E-W navigation.

Having wasted many hours in supermarkets around the world he saw an opportunity for a personal shopper service for race crews. As Clare loves supermarkets (!) and sailing she was only too happy to put herself forward for the role.

The name of the enterprise is taken from a scene in the film Master and Commander - “the lesser of two weevils”.
